🚨🚨 New paper alert!!

Members from the Coral Restoration Consortium are proud to have supported the publication of “A Review of Coral Reef Restoration Initiatives in the Western Indian Ocean Region" published in PLOS ONE.
Read it today at 👉https://www.crc.world/resources/a-review-of-coral-reef-restoration-initiatives-in-the-western-indian-ocean-region
This paper draws on peer-reviewed literature, a regional practitioner survey, and an in-person workshop in Zanzibar to capture what's working, what isn't, and where the gaps are. From monitoring standards and species diversity to funding sustainability and climate adaptation the onerous for this paper contributed directly to the establishment of the Western Indian Ocean Coral Reef Restoration Network (WIOCRRN)!
The only way coral restoration work succeeds at scale is if practitioners share knowledge, learn from each other, and build toward a coordinated regional strategy. This paper is a meaningful foundation for exactly that.
We are grateful to be a small part of this incredible author list đź’™
