To access the guide and resources shared during the webinar, please visit: https://reefresilience.org/new-guidance-on-coral-reef-restoration-webinar/ The Coral Restoration Consortium’s Field-based Propagation Working Group has just released A Guide to Coral Reef Restoration: Optimizing Efficiency and Scale for In Situ Nurseries and Outplanting. The guide covers a range of topics including restoration planning, nursery set-up, stocking, maintenance and monitoring, and outplanting design and techniques. Whether you are just starting out or looking to scale up your coral restoration program, this guide is designed to support success across diverse goals, environments, and resource levels. During this webinar, the authors provided a brief overview of the guide. Then, we had a panel discussion with restoration experts from across the Pacific to discuss how and why they made the choices they did when establishing restoration programs.
