Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System
The Mesoamerican Reef Restoration Network (MAR-RRN) was formed in 2012 and joined the CRC as a Regional Group in 2020. The group's membership includes representatives from government agencies, academia, non-profit organizations, the private sector and individuals from Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras all whom work on restoration and conservation of coral reefs in the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System.

The regional group is led by primary chair, Ana Giró Petersen (Healthy Reefs).
PRIORITIES
The members of the MAR-RRN are working full time to develop best practices, methodologies and technologies suitable to each of our respective countries that border the Mesoamerican Reef.​
